Spare tire options

So like most cars these days my XC40 came with a tire repair kit or whatever that crap is called which I want to get rid of. I've had a few blowouts in my life and would like to be covered with a tire, even those bicyucle ones. So, what are my options? Can I fit one in the trunk below the floor or not?

Fitting a full-size spare tire under the cargo floor isn't possible due to the design of the XC40 but I've seen a couple of owners with a space-saver donut.
You'd typically need to check the bolt pattern and hub bore, but Volvo or aftermarket suppliers should have options.

Why not check the underfloor space dimensions first, have you measured to see if a compact spare or space-saver donut could fit before buying one? That's usually the easiest option

I faced a similar situation with my SUV. After a bad blowout, I tossed the tire repair kit and started searching for a spare tire. A full-size tire often won't fit under these newer models, but yeah, a space-saver donut should do the trick
